JUNIOR MAINTENANCE WORKER
Nordic Minesteel Technologies (NMT) is currently looking for an enthusiastic Junior Maintenance Worker to join our team. This role offers a great opportunity for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•
Inspecting, repairing, maintaining, troubleshooting of various types of machinery and equipment (presses, welders, front end loaders, lift trucks etc.)
•
Maintain essential building systems
•
Perform general ground maintenance, including snow removal, grass cutting, trimming and upkeep of outdoor areas
•
Respond to maintenance work requests and record all repairs
•
Work with and oversee the work performed by contractors
•
Requisition of maintenance supplies and services
•
Ensure proper scheduling through the applicable software program for preventative maintenance
•
Document daily maintenance reports
•
Ongoing skills upgrading to keep up with changing technologies
•
Maintain a self-motivated, positive and outgoing attitude
•
Operate the equipment in a safe and efficient manner
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
•
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
•
Previous experience in general maintenance, landscaping or related work is an asset
•
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
•
Basic electrical tasks/skills
•
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
•
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
•
Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
•
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
•
Strong work ethic and reliability
•
Valid driver's license (travel between sites)
•
Ability to operate lawn maintenance equipment
•
Basic safety awareness; WHMIS or other safety training is an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
