Accountabilities: How You Will Make an Impact
•Creation, production, and issuance of purchase orders including contractor purchase orders. Ensuring POs are accurate and meet the company's procurement standards.
•Supporting the negotiation of terms, pricing, and contracts with vendors.
•Creation, and issuance of Requests for Quotations
•Assist in sourcing and procuring materials, goods, and services as needed.
•Monitoring purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and invoicing.
•Closing of expired purchase orders
•Assisting in finding and developing relationships with suppliers.
•Communicate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues.
•Generate monthly open order reports and issue to various departments.
•Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchase records, invoices, and supplier information.
•Assisting in building strong supplier relationships for favorable terms.
•Provide staff with support to resolve tax, price, or receipt issues.
•Provide coverage for purchase order receipting and allocations as backup.
•Directly respond to customer inquiries, maintain good customer relations, and solve problems.
•Perform duties in a safe/compliant manner with respect to Kinectrics policies and procedures.
•Perform other duties as required.
What You Need to Succeed
•Completion of Community College plus additional specialized courses in Purchasing or equivalent
•Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP) designation or equivalent, or at an advanced standing of the key modules and interactive workshops.
•Experience in negotiating strategic purchasing contracts with terms favorable to the company requirements.
•Ability to analyze pricing and cost information to make informed purchasing decisions.
•Capable of resolving supplier-related issues and handling unexpected delays or problems.
•Skilled in negotiating prices and contracts with suppliers.
•Ability to work well with colleagues from various departments.
•Strong organizational and time-management skills.
•Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
•Reviewing contract terms and ensuring compliance with company policies.
•Regarded as an expert in Buying and has extensive knowledge in this field.
•Understanding of purchasing law and can execute purchasing contracts.
•Understand principal transportation terms and conditions.
•Fluent in cross-border functionalities and processes for export and import
•Expertise in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel, etc.
•Demonstrated knowledge of SAP or relative applications experience in Purchasing, Inventory or Accounting
•Excellent organizational skills and time management
•Ability to work effectively and build teams.
•Ability to exercise considerable judgment and resourcefulness in resolving problems.
•Proven high level of customer service.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Assertive and can deal with all levels of staff within the organization.
•Operates with a high level of ethical values.
•Previous experience in a multi-faceted purchasing and/or manufacturing environment
•Experience in solving complex problems where solutions require considerable investigation to resolve and often require integration of a number of fields.
•A minimum of 4 years related experience or equivalent.
