Location:
McArthur River
Reporting to the senior mine geologist, you will be responsible for the management of tasks and duties with the McArthur River geology department. You will work collaboratively within the department and engage site stakeholders on improvement opportunities and initiatives in this entry level position.
In this role, you will:
•Provide oversight for diamond drill core logging and sampling, underground development mapping, computerized data management and data quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC).
•Conduct downhole deviation survey and radiometric survey.
Required:
•Bachelor’s degree in geology or geological engineering
•Up to three years of relevant geological experience
•Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent computer skills and the ability to work in a team environment
•Ability and willingness to perform manual labour, including heavy lifting as required for this position
•Valid class 5 driver’s license
•Safety-oriented work attitude
•Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Recommended:
•Previous experience with exploration or in a mine geology work environment
•Experience working underground
