Oxbow is currently looking to hire a Laborer to join our team in Enid, OK. This position will work under the general supervision of the department supervisor, the Laborer is responsible for assisting the supervisor in the operation of the kilns to ensure maximum contributions to the safety, quality, and productivity of the plant.
- Support the implementation of automation projects under the guidance of senior technicians.
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of automated systems and solutions.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of automated equipment.
- Document processes, procedures, and results to maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation improvements.
- Learn and apply best practices for safety and compliance in automation environments.
- Support management with special projects and workflow process improvements and other duties as assigned.
- Basic programming skills in automation software.
- Understanding of automation principles and technologies
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and methodologies.
- Basic understanding of automation systems and programming languages such as Ladder Logic or Python.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an Engineering related field, or a related technical discipline.
- Previous internship or project experience in automation or related field is a plus.
- Familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and SCADA systems preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical circuits and control systems is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- May sit for an extended amount of time in office in front of computer.
- May work outdoors in extreme working conditions and inclement weather conditions.
- As needed, lifts, carries objects weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces and in elevated work areas.
- Must be able to handle working with petroleum coke products and use respiratory protection
- Must be able to load and unload equipment, either with manual labor or by operating machinery.
