Summary

As a Heavy Equipment Technician at Team Viking , you will play a vital role in maintaining and servicing our fleet of trucks . This position is essential to ensuring our operations run smoothly and safely, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional results for our clients.

Responsibilities

•

Perform regular maintenance and repairs on various fleet including light and heavy pick up trucks, and semi trucks and trailers.

•

Our shop is CVIP certified so experience with CVIP is required

•

Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.

•

Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries regarding equipment functionality.

•

Document maintenance activities and report any significant findings or issues.

•

This position may include travel to sites to preform maintenance on trucks.

Requirements

•

Journeyman position must be able to produce a Journeyman ticket, and have experience mentoring apprentices

•

Must have a valid Drivers license, class 1 is preferred

•

Must be local to the greater Edmonton area

•

Experience as an Equipment Technician working on heavy trucks and Semi's.

•

Strong electrical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.

•

Experience working on various types of engines including Cummins, CAT, Peterbuilt, and Ford .

•

Experience on Diesel generators is an asset

•

Experience with Air brakes is required

•

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

•

Current forklift certification is considered and asset

Job Details

•

Job involves working out of our shop in Stony Plain

•

Hours are 8am to 4:30 pm with the possibility of OT

•

This is a physically demanding role, and the successful candidate will be able to comfortably walk, stand, lift (≤50 lbs.), carry (≤50 lbs.), and bend for the duration of their shift.

•

Use of the forklift to load and unload materials

•

Preference will be given to a candidate with a class 1 license

Compensation

•

Wages are dependent on experience and the position ranging from $42/hr to $46/hr

•

Overtime is paid at time and a half after 8 hours a day or 44 hours per week
