The Opportunity:
The Journeyman/woman Heavy Equipment Technician is required to perform the skilled tasks of mechanical repair and maintenance on our fleet of oilfield trucks, trailers, and specialized equipment. The Journeyman/woman Heavy Equipment Technician will have the ability to troubleshoot major and minor mechanical problems as well as have the ability to repair and adjust all necessary mechanical components. Work assignments will be received in the form of oral or written work orders, but the employee is expected to determine the nature and extent of needed repairs. Working collaboratively with the Field Services team will be required.
Your Responsibilities:
In alignment with the Lifting Solutions culture, mission, vision and values, you will be responsible to:
•Provide the required mechanical proficiency and expertise to be successful when working in LSI’ fast-paced mobile oilfield equipment repair/maintenance and fabrication shop
•Clean, lubricate, and perform preventative and routine maintenance on our fleet of mobile oilfield trucks, trailers, and specialized equipment
•Troubleshoot, diagnose, and provide failure analysis of equipment problems and failures
•Lead and/or participate in related safety or technical incidents and investigations
•Stay current and compliant with regulatory requirements as it relates to your job
•Wear all required PPE as outlined by LSI and local regulating authorities
•Other duties as assigned
Your Qualifications and Experience:
•A Registered Alberta Journeyman/woman Heavy Equipment Technician or Interprovincial Red Seal certification.
•CVIP license and prior welding experience is considered a definite asset. Candidate must possess the capability of obtaining licensing once employed by us
•Previous well servicing industry experience specializing in artificial lift and/or continuous rod handling is considered an asset
•Minimum valid class 5 driver’s license with a 5-year driver’s abstract in good standing
•Valid industry training certificates including, but not limited to, Enform H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, and Enform e GSO (Electronic General Safety Orientation) (willing to offer training to the right candidate)
•Attention to detail and ability to read blueprints and diagrams of components not yet built
•Mandatory pre-offer and ongoing employment alcohol and drug screening (safety-sensitive position)
