Journeyman Welder
The Journeyman Welder interprets fabrication drawings, sketches and welding specs to produce or repair various parts and equipment, as well as undertakes the set-up, general maintenance and operation of various welding machines.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
•Mentor Apprentice Welders.
•Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and safety procedures.
•Interpret and continually refer to diagrams and tables on drawings to determine material requirements and measurements; the type, size, location and starting position of welds; the welding process; and other engineering requirements.
•Ensure all Ketek’s work procedures, policies and Occupational Health and Safety regulations are followed and represent Ketek in a light that is commensurate with the values of Management and the Corporate Mission Statement.
Qualifications
•Journeyman Welding certificate with minimum one-year experience
•CWB Certification considered an asset
Working Conditions:
•Monday to Friday with an 8-hour shift each day with overtime
A weld test may be required for this position
