Journeyman Pattern Maker (Foundry)

D&L is a state-of-the-art foundry located in Central Washington with a reputation for providing quality iron castings for industrial and infrastructure applications. We're seeking a skilled Journeyman Pattern Maker to join our team.

Position Summary:

As a Journeyman Pattern Maker, you’ll be responsible for interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to create and maintain patterns used in the sand-casting process. You’ll work with a variety of materials, including wood, metal and plastics and ensure patterns meet exact tolerances and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Construct, repair, and modify patterns and core boxes to precise specifications

- Read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models

- Collaborate with engineering and foundry teams to optimize casting quality and efficiency

- Inspect and test patterns for dimensional accuracy and quality

- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety protocols

Qualifications:

- Journeyman certification in Pattern Making or equivalent experience

- 5+ years of hands-on pattern making experience in a foundry setting

- Strong knowledge of casting processes and foundry tooling

- Ability to use precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)

- Proficiency in shop math, spatial reasoning, and mechanical drawing

- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
