Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, particularly in construction and renovation settings. This role involves working on various projects, including new builds and renovations, where you will apply your expertise in electrical systems and power tools to ensure safe and efficient installations.

Responsibilities

•

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

•

Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.

•

Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently.

•

Conduct tests using voltmeters and ohmmeters to ensure proper functioning of electrical systems.

•

Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to coordinate electrical work with frame carpentry and other building tasks.

•

Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective solutions.

•

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and codes while performing work duties.

•

Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the project duration.

Requirements

•

Valid Journeyperson Electrician license or equivalent certification.

•

Proven experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair, particularly in construction environments.

•

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety protocols.

•

Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to electrical work.

•

Familiarity with using various power tools safely and effectively.

•

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on construction sites.

•

Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.

•

Physical ability to perform manual labor tasks associated with the trade.
