Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. We are a small, independently owned company that specializes in providing residential, commercial and industrial service based work to the greater Milwaukee area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems, including both low and high voltage applications. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Your expertise will contribute to ensuring safety and compliance with electrical codes.
Working as part of a small company will allow you to work within a wide variety of settings, see projects through from the planning stage to completion and work independently without layers of oversight. Paid major holidays, paid vacation (tbd base on experience), benefits (negotiable). Company truck with safety gear and trade related power tools provided. Employee is responsible for providing own hand tools.
Duties
•Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring systems in accordance with local and national codes.
•Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
•Work on construction sites to install new electrical systems as part of renovation projects.
•Independently troubleshoot, identify solutions to and repair electrical issues in a variety of settings ranging from residential, commercial and industrial.
•Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure seamless project completion.
•Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs.
•Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working in high voltage environments.
•Computer proficiency is desired and a familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus.
•Maintain a neat working area at job sites and keep and orderly and organized van.
Experience
•Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role in the electrical field.
•Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
•Familiarity with low voltage and high voltage systems.
•Experience working on construction sites and understanding of construction processes.
•Strong troubleshooting skills using tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
•Ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining high standards of quality.
•Must possess journeyman electrician license in state of Wisconsin.
•Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.
•Must have valid WI drivers license.
