Journeyman Electrician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both industrial and commercial electrical work, demonstrating proficiency in various electrical systems and tools. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, safety protocols, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in a variety of settings.

Responsibilities

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments.

- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure proper functionality of automated systems.

- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various electrical tasks.

- Conduct troubleshooting on low voltage and high voltage systems as needed.

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately.

- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards during all work performed.

- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to complete renovation projects efficiently.

- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.

Requirements

- Proven experience as an electrician in both industrial and commercial settings.

- Journeyman Electrician certification preferred.

- OSHA 10/30

- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment.

- Strong knowledge of low voltage and medium voltage systems.

- Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards.

- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents related to electrical work.

- Experience in construction site environments is preferred.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
