As an IT Project Manager, you will collaborate with members of the Corporate Technology team to lead solution development, project planning, stakeholder engagement, and the execution of both large-scale and smaller technology initiatives. Your goal will be to ensure that projects are strategically aligned, effectively managed, and delivered on time, within budget, and with measurable impact. Your success will be defined by your ability to foster cross-functional alignment, mitigate risks proactively, and consistently achieve high-quality outcomes that support business objectives.

Your Responsibilities:
•You must be able to effectively manage several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
•Identify and confirm project approach and engage appropriate Business, IT, and third-party resources to develop effective plans to manage the initiative (resources, financial, communications, schedule) utilizing Irving Oil IT’s project delivery framework, documents, and tools
•Effectively communicate complex technical solutions, risk and issues to managers and non-technical team members
•Act independently (or know when to escalate) to provide leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that the solution delivers intended outcomes and value to the organization
•Ensure plans include and align to all relevant internal policies or standards and with vendors’ contracts and processes
•Positively negotiate and influence staff assignments and any associated procurement timelines
•Assign deliverables, tasks and activities and continuously monitor and control all associated resources, schedules, and plans
•Anticipate and effectively deal with issues throughout the life of the initiative
•Effectively deal with changes within sphere of influence, obtain support and collaborate on changes as required in a timely manner
•Ensure optimal communications within and across teams and with all project stakeholders
Your Skills:
•Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced IT environment while managing competing demands and tight deadlines with strong critical thinking, organizational, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Experience dealing with multiple priorities and deadlines / proven ability to meet hard deadlines
•Strong leadership, communications, facilitation, collaboration, and relationship management skills
•Experience working with 3rd party providers and in cross functional / matrixed team environments
•Experience utilizing corporate and 3rd party project management processes and software
Your Experience:
•Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience in the field of Information Technology
•7+ years IT project management work experience
•PMP designation is required
