Infrastructure Analyst IIis an experienced professional with knowledge of and some experience with IT infrastructure principles, practices, concepts, and theories as they relate to operational infrastructure administration. Responsible for the administration and operational support of infrastructure including operating systems, storage, physical and virtual servers, and system backups. Orchestrate infrastructure solutions that reduce complexity, risk and cost. Assists in ensuring change management, security and compliance measures are in place to prevent the loss of information.
Key Responsibilities

- Participates in the infrastructure/middleware requirements definition, design, analysis, integration, installation, administration, operation, and support of multi-tiered heterogeneous applications.
- Participates in the design, planning, installation, integration, administration, operation and support of applications with an emphasis on cloud technologies. Ensures systems are secure, scalable, operational and reliable.
- Participates in the planning and migration of modern on-premise infrastructure solutions to web-based/cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and resolves hardware, software or other system related problems relative to on-premise or cloud based infrastructure.
- Completes project tasks, reaching out for technical assistance when needed in order to meet project milestones.
- Works with internal IT and third-party infrastructure teams to ensure patching, audit and change management processes are followed and security and compliance requirements are met.
- Supports backup, and business continuity efforts in all environments. Utilizes appropriate tools and processes to protect the business application data.
- Provides on-site assistance to third party infrastructure providers as needed.
- Coordinates all operational activities with internal and external business stakeholders, and third party infrastructure providers.
- Identifies and implements automation that will increase efficiency and lower human intervention and admin level of effort.
- Helps orchestrate solutions that reduce complexity, risk and cost.
- Aligns with the business to help identify technology that will enable improvements in their business area.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related study preferred
- 3-5+ years of related experience- Experience with Backup solutions
- Strong business acumen pertaining to the Utility industry.
- Strong planning and project management skills.
- Willingness and ability to learn new technologies on the job.
- Proficient at functioning effectively within a team environment, present ideas and opinions in a respective and collegial manner.
- Experience with Cloud technologies and developing hybrid cloud solutions
