Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure efficient water distribution for landscapes, gardens, and lawns. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Duties
•
Install and maintain irrigation systems using power tools and hand tools.
•
Conduct regular inspections of irrigation systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs.
•
Dig trenches and install piping for irrigation systems in compliance with landscape designs.
•
Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to ensure optimal lawn care and garden health through effective irrigation practices.
•
Build and modify irrigation systems as needed to meet specific landscape requirements.
•
Provide recommendations for system upgrades or improvements based on performance evaluations.
•
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs and installations.
Experience
•
Previous experience in landscape maintenance or lawn care is preferred but not mandatory.
•
Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in irrigation installation and repair is essential.
•
Strong mechanical knowledge is a plus, enabling troubleshooting of system malfunctions effectively.
•
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills.
•
A passion for gardening or landscaping will be beneficial in understanding client needs and preferences.
