Hours: 6:30am – 3:00pm
Position Summary:
Under direct supervision of Inventory Manager maintains and controls all items of consignment of Inventory Section. Receives and prepares materials for stocking, compares information on tags and labels against packing lists; verifies quantity; inspects condition; ensures all materials received meet all CWS specifications; updates Process all Inventory transactions in Dynamics 365 via desktop computer and/or handheld on a daily basis. Conduct cycle counts and annual physical count. Inspect and maintain assigned material handling equipment on a daily basis.
Essential Functions:
•Assist the inventory manager with the maintenance and control of all material and equipment assigned to inventory.
•Put newly received and returned material in correct bin location no later than 24 hours.
•Inspect newly received material for accuracy and functionality. Barcode scanning for all inventory transactions to associates and/or contractors and provide printed copy of transaction.
•Print and maintain barcode labels for material identification and location to assigned bins.
•Complete accurate transactions for all material exiting warehouse immediately.
•Returned material must be inspected for operability and transaction completed immediately.
•Review standard operating instructions for all inventory functions being conducted within the warehouse.
•Inspect and maintain required fluid levels and tire pressure, and operate mechanical material handling equipment, i.e., (2) indoor propane forklifts and (2) outdoor heavy forklifts.
•Conduct analysis on inventory discrepancies, present to inventory manager for updating changes. Perform annual and cycle counts as required.
•Responsible for daily security checks.
•Pick up items from vendors and deliver inventory materials to associates in the field as required.
•Required to be on 24-hour on call on a rotating basis.
•May be required to work during emergency conditions.
•Regular and punctual attendance is required to ensure a high level of customer service.
•Job performance must conform to all CWS policies and procedures.
•Required to be licensed and operate material handling equipment (I.E., 15k and 4 forklifts).
•Ability to learn and execute warehouse management software, Dynamics 365.
Additional Duties
•Assist with training newly assigned associates.
•Responsible for maintenance of recycling programs.
•Subject to 24-hour on-call.
•Responsible for maintaining designated areas of the inventory facility.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
•Complete weekly inspection form on assigned equipment.

Physical Requirements, Activities, and Working Conditions
•Ability to effectively communicate in writing, verbally and issued cell phone, to include comprehension of complex oral and written instruction.
•Constantly operates computers and handheld device.
•Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make fine distinctions in sound, such as when operating on equipment.
•Frequently positions self to maneuver objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Objects greater than 50 lbs requires a two-person lift.
•Occasionally positions self to use up to 50 lbs of force and / or up to 20 lbs of force frequently to move objects.
•Frequently positions self to move, traverse in the field as necessary to perform required work.
•Constantly works in internal / external environmental conditions.
•Routinely ascend/descend a ladder to store and retrieve supplies.
•Ability to operate and maintain motor vehicle and forklifts.
•Must be able to make visual observations in daylight and night.
•Ability to work independently of others.
•Process and exhibit good communication skills in a customer service atmosphere.
•Must be able to wear Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) as defined in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to perform the required essential functions.
Education and/or Experience
•High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and 1-2 years’ experience in a position related to maintenance, industry, inventory, retail, or other related field.
•Knowledge of the types of material, equipment, and supplies utilized in an industrial environment.
•Ability to read operator and technical manuals.
•Good working knowledge of computer information systems and windows-based software.
•Ability to operate personal computer, bar code reader, printer and vehicle.
•Prior work record indicating dependability and conscientiousness.
Licenses, Certifications, Registrations
•Valid South Carolina Driver's License required.
•Must obtain forklift compliance certification within one (1) month of hire.
Training Needs:
•OSHA and Departmental safety training as required.
