South Texas Electric Cooperative, Inc. (STEC) offers internships to provide college students the opportunity to apply traditional academic classroom learning to actual work experience. STEC strongly believes that internships are an important tool in recruiting, developing, and retaining innovative people in the electric utility industry and an important part of assisting STEC in meeting the needs of today while preparing the workforce of the future. To be eligible for an internship, a student must be pursuing a degree in subjects applicable to the intern position.

To qualify for the internship program, students must meet the following criteria:
1. Must be enrolled in a four-year degree program, or be enrolled in a technical program, or be enrolled in a graduate program.
2. Must submit a copy of latest grade report with cumulative GPA.
