We’re looking for an experienced Surface Land Analyst with Crown Land expertise
to join our team. If you thrive on navigating complex land and regulatory processes while building strong connections with clients, government, and communities, this role may be a great fit.
As part of the team, you’ll help coordinate Crown land applications and approvals—contributing to projects as they move from start to finish.
As our team grows, this role also offers room for

leadership by mentoring and eventually managing a small team of analysts.- Prepare, submit, and track applications for Crown land use (leases, licenses, permits).
- Support applications under other relevant Acts and regulatory frameworks.
- Interpret and apply provincial legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct land status research using government databases, systems, and survey plans.
- Work closely with government officials, Indigenous communities, landowners, industry stakeholders, and clients.
- Ensure all activities align with legal, regulatory, and environmental requirements.
- Keep detailed and organized records of applications, correspondence, and approvals.
- Provide trusted advice on Crown land tenure, access, compliance, and best practices.
- Contribute to project quality control and knowledge-sharing within the team.
- Post-secondary education in Land Management, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Studies, or related field.
- 5+ yearsof recent experience in Crown surface land administration, land use planning, or related work (government or industry).
- Strong knowledge of Alberta Crown land regulations and application processes.
- BC Crown land experience considered an asset.
- Proficiency with land records research, project tracking, GIS, and mapping tools.
- Clear and confident communicator—both written and verbal.
