Instrumentation/Controls Engineer

INSTRUMENTATION/CONTROLS ENGINEER

I3 Engineering is searching for an Instrumentation/Controls Engineer, in their Bridgeport, WV location, to augment their existing workforce.

The Instrumentation/Controls Engineer is responsible for completing electrical and instrumentation designs, calculations and drawings for customers’ facilities including natural gas compressor stations, natural gas meter and regulating stations and natural gas processing facilities and related facilities.

Other titles for this position could be Electrical Engineer.

Qualifications:

· 5+ Years experience in instrumentation/controls design, P&I drawing interpretation, control narratives, etc.

· Familiarity with various manufacturers and models of pressure, temperature and flow gauges and transmitters.

· Understanding of control panel design and schematics as well as familiarity with various PLC and RTU manufacturers.

· Understanding of Hazardous Area Classification identification and related code requirements.

· Familiarity with various telemetry hardware and telecommunications BUS protocols.

· BS degree in Electrical or other Engineering from an ABET accredited university.

· Strong organizational and communication skills.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, working both independently and in a team environment.

· Familiar with NFPA 70 NEC Code, AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

· Desire to learn in the fast-paced and growing oil and natural gas industry.
