INSTRUMENTATION AND ELECTRICAL DESIGN CHECKER (PART TIME)

Description Position Title:

Part Time Design Checker- I&E

Houston, TX

Perform senior level detail checking of electrical instrumentation design including complex designs and layouts of One line Diagrams, E/I Plans, Sections & Details, Wiring Diagrams and Schematic Diagrams utilizing CAD hardware and software.

- Review vendor drawings and information.

- Perform detail check of discipline drawings for accuracy and compliance with applicable codes and industry standards.

- Read and comprehend PID’s.

Requirements

Qualifications

- Ability to work with Autocad and Navisworks

- 30 or more years of experience in a drafting environment.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Working knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards.

Education

- High school diploma. Associates Degree or certification from technical trade school preferred.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Work Environment/Physical Demands

- Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

- Frequent sitting and operating a computer.

- Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or office materials.

- Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.

- Physical demands requirements are at levels of those for sedentary work.
