Position Overview:

As the Instrumentation and Controls Engineer V, you will hold the most senior position in the instrumentation and control engineering department. You will provide strategic leadership, technical expertise, and overall direction for the discipline. Your role will involve leading and managing a team of engineers, overseeing the design, implementation, and optimization of instrumentation and control systems, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

Responsibilities:

- Perform equipment sizing & selection, alternative analyses, and other deliverables

- Support the engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities

- Present engineering and design deliverables to project members, cross-functional teams, senior leadership, external vendors, clients, and other stakeholders

- Plan, forecast, and actualize deliverable progress to support project reporting and schedule requirements

- Identify scope changes and estimate impact to effort and schedule

- Supports proposal efforts by evaluating RFP scope, identifying list of deliverables, and estimating effort required

- Monitors progress and performance against the project plan

- Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility

- Works autonomously

- Prepares, reviews, and approves instrumentation equipment, conduit, and wiring calculations,

requisitions, lists, studies, reports, BOMs, and designs

- Develops Operating Controls Philosophy and Cause & Effect Diagrams, reviews HMI layout and

Network Architecture Diagrams

Education/Licenses/Certifications/Skills:

- 10+ Years experience

- Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering

- Professional Engineer licensure preferred

- Extensive knowledge and experience in instrument and controls engineering principles and practices

- Advanced proficiency in engineering software and tools for system design, simulation, and analysis

- Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, schematics, and specifications

- In-depth understanding of process control systems and automation technologies

- Strong knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and best practices

- Ability to develop and implement instrumentation and control engineering standards and guidelines

- Excellent facilitation, communication, and analytical skills – written and verbal

- High level of personal integrity

- Strong relationship capabilities

- Proficient in both written and spoken English
