Instrumentation and Controls Technician

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Instrumentation and Controls Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, fabrication, integration, and installation of various electrical and process control instrumentation equipment in a manufacturing environment.

As a Technician, an employee will work in a cool to extremely hot environment, dependent upon project, outdoor work may be performed. There is exposure to fuels, oils, cleaning solvents and fumes from machinery. Safety glasses must be worn at all times while in the Maintenance area and while working on machinery. The noise level in the work environment varies depending upon project, hearing protection is required. Additional safety equipment may be required.

While performing the duties of this job, the Employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle controls, talk and hear. The Employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The Employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop. The Employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
