If so, NADA is looking for an Academy Instructor (Tailored Training & Professional Series) to join our team!
As an Academy Instructor you’ll be at the forefront of NADA’s educational programs, delivering high-quality training sessions to dealership staff, dealer-partners, and industry professionals. From in-person classes to live online sessions and workshops, you’ll ensure participants gain the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in dealership operations.
This is a full-time position with opportunities to work remotely, a collaborative culture, competitive salary, and excellent benefits. The role requires travel up to 75%, including some evening and weekend sessions (10%–15% of scheduled time).
- Deliver instructor-led training sessions for Dealer Groups, OEMs, and allied participants via in-person, live online classrooms, webinars, and workshops.
- Develop detailed lesson plans, instructional aids, and training materials aligned with adult learning principles and NADA-approved instructional design methodologies.
- Collaborate with program development teams to evolve curriculum and create new learning content, including interactive online courses.
- Monitor student progress, evaluate assignments, provide coaching, and support participant engagement.
- Participate in student recruitment activities to achieve program goals for the Academy and other NADA education initiatives.
- Support NADA events and exhibits, including booth staffing, product demonstrations, and sales objectives at the annual NADA Show.
- Stay current in dealership operations through self-development, in-dealership consultations, and engagement with industry trends.
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of experience—or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in automotive dealership operations.
- Strong presentation and instructional skills, with experience developing and delivering training programs using adult-learning methodologies.
- Effective written and oral communication skills for diverse audiences (dealers, dealership personnel, OEM personnel, and automotive executives).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and audiovisual technology, with the ability to learn new instructional tools and software.
- Ability to travel up to 75% and occasionally teach evening or weekend classes.
