Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Instructional Designer is to develop impactful learning materials, streamline knowledge transfer, and support operational excellence across the organization. This role will play a key part in maintaining and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all departments, while also designing engaging, accessible training solutions that align with our systems, workflows, and company objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential
SOP Management:
•Own the lifecycle of company SOPs: drafting, editing, updating, formatting, and version control across all departments.
•Collaborate with department leads to ensure SOP accuracy, relevance, and usability for employees at all levels.
•Proactively conducts regular audits of all departmental SOPs, incorporating feedback from department heads to ensure accuracy and relevance.
•Develop an indexing system and naming conventions to maintain data across company platforms (Schoox, Microsoft tools, etc.) for ease of access and use.
Design & Development:
•Create clear, engaging instructional materials—including eLearning modules, job aids, SOPs, video tutorials, and instructor-led training—for both in-person and virtual platforms.
•Tailor content to various learning styles and job functions within operations, sales, supply chain, accounting, and customer service.
Process Improvement & Alignment:
•Analyze existing workflows and systems (such as NetSuite, CRM Tools, etc.) to identify training needs and optimization opportunities.
•Integrate system-based learning via our LMS platform(s) within the flow of work, using screen captures, walkthroughs, and simulations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
•Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate technical processes into accessible training materials.
•Serve as the training liaison during system upgrades, rollouts, and cross-departmental projects.
Evaluation & Reporting:
•Assess the effectiveness of training programs through learner feedback, performance metrics, and operational KPIs.
•Recommend improvements to learning experiences and delivery methods based on data insights.

Travel
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Required
•Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
•3+ years of experience in instructional design or corporate training, preferably in a logistics, energy, or industrial setting.
•IT/IS Project Management experience.
•Strong proficiency with instructional authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate).
•Experience maintaining and standardizing SOPs, process maps, or documentation libraries.
•Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) or CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
•Excellent project management, strong interpersonal skills, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred
•Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, IT/IS, Learning Experience Design, Training and Development.
•Experience in lubricant industry, fuel industry, or transportation industry.
