Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Manager to lead the design, implementation, and management of our physical server infrastructure and hybrid cloud environment. This role will focus on maintaining and optimizing our on-premises data center operations while integrating hybrid cloud solutions to support business growth and digital transformation initiatives.
Duties And Responsibilities
INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT:
- Oversee the planning, deployment, and maintenance of physical server infrastructure including rack servers, blade servers, and blade chassis systems.
- Manage Storage Area Network (SAN) infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, capacity planning, and data availability.
- Design and implement Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) solutions to streamline operations and improve scalability.
- Administer and optimize VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter management, and virtual machine lifecycle management.
- Lead Azure Stack HCI (Azure Local) implementation and management, enabling seamless hybrid cloud capabilities.
- Integrate on-premises infrastructure with Microsoft Azure cloud services for optimal workload placement.
- Develop and maintain hybrid identity, networking, and security strategies across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand infrastructure requirements and recommend appropriate hardware solutions.
- Conduct technology assessments and provide strategic recommendations for infrastructure modernization.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure roadmaps aligned with business objectives and budget constraints.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and their potential impact on current infrastructure investments.
- Lead and mentor infrastructure engineering team members.
- Establish and maintain infrastructure standards, policies, and best practices.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware procurement, maintenance, and support.
- Manage infrastructure budgets, including hardware refresh cycles and capacity planning.
- Monitor infrastructure performance metrics and implement optimization strategies.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities across all infrastructure components.
- Establish and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for infrastructure services.
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues.
- Physical Infrastructure: 3+ years of experience managing enterprise server hardware, blade systems, and data center operations. - 3+ years of team leadership experience in infrastructure or IT operations.
- Storage Technologies: Extensive experience with SAN technologies (Fibre Channel, iSCSI), storage arrays, and data protection solutions.
- Virtualization: Advanced VMware vSphere administration skills (VCP certification preferred).
- Hyper-Converged Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with HCI solutions (Nutanix, Dell VxRail, HPE SimpliVity, or similar).
- Hybrid Cloud: Experience with Azure Stack HCI and Microsoft Azure integration.
- Networking: Understanding of data center networking, VLANs, routing, and network security.
- Proven track record of managing complex infrastructure projects.
- Experience with vendor management and contract negotiations.
- Strong budget management and financial planning capabilities.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or higher.
- Microsoft Azure certifications (Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect).
- Vendor-specific certifications (Dell, HPE, Cisco, NetApp, etc.).
- ITIL Foundation or higher
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Additional Information
This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
