Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and licensed Electrician with a strong background in service
work to join our team. As a Service Electrician, you will be responsible for providing
electrical repairs, maintenance, and installations for commercial, industrial, and
institutional customers. You will work on a variety of electrical systems, ensuring
compliance with local and national electrical codes, while providing exceptional
customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
•Perform electrical repairs, troubleshooting, maintenance, and installations in
commercial, industrial, and institutional settings.
•Diagnose and resolve electrical issues with circuits, wiring, panels, lighting,
outlets, switches, and other electrical components.
•Install and maintain electrical systems including lighting, panels, and electrical
outlets.
•Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure safe working conditions for
yourself and others.
•Maintain excellent customer relationships by communicating clearly and
professionally, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction with completed
work.
•Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local and national electrical codes and
regulations.
•Prepare and submit reports on completed jobs, including time spent, materials
used, and any issues encountered.
•Assist with emergency service calls as needed as part of our on-call rotation.
•Keep Van, and work areas clean and organized, and ensure tools and equipment
are well-maintained and stocked as needed.
•Provide mentorship and guidance to apprentices or junior electricians as required.
Qualifications:
•Valid MA Electrical Journeyman’s License. RI License a plus.
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical service work as a licensed
electrician.
•Strong understanding of electrical codes and regulations (NEC compliance).
•Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
•Proficient in the use of electrical tools and equipment, including testers, drills, and
power tools.
•Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
•Strong communication and customer service skills.
•Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
•Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
•Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various environmental
conditions.
•Background in commercial and industrial electrical systems is a plus.
•Background in copper network cabling and terminations is a plus.
•CPR/First Aid certification preferred but not required.
