Industrial Multi-craft Technician

INTRODUCTION

The Multi-Craft Technician is responsible for the maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and modification of new and existing industrial equipment. This role will include maintenance support in all trade disciplines as required to maintain the facility.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

- AC 3 phase motors and motor controls and conveyor applications.

- Experienced with 480 VAC, 3 phase along with lower voltages.

- PLC and relay logic controls in various manufacturing equipment.

- Electrical power distribution systems.

- Pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

- Installing and repairing electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.

- Following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications.

- Using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.

- Able to troubleshoot and repair production equipment.

- Able to effectively use standard electrical test equipment including voltmeter, amp-probe and megger.

- Familiar with and able to safely comply with the National Electrical Code and other local safety codes, policies and procedures.

- Able to read and interpret facility blueprints and equipment technical manuals.

- Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Able to effectively work within a team environment.

- Willing and able to participate in safety programs and activities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must be able to properly use tape, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

- Must have a working knowledge of AC/DC motors.

- Must be trained in basic electric and mechanical safety.

- Must have some basic computer experience.

- Must be knowledgeable in the safe use of hand and small power tools.

- Must have acute troubleshooting skills.

- Must be able to maintain good attendance.

- Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required due to “Business Needs”.

- Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Bilingual is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
