About the role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, Industrial Mechanic Apprentices are responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining the processing plant’s stationary equipment.

The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C is necessary.

In this role you will:

- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies

- Maintain and service the processing plant’s stationary equipment including, pumps, gearboxes, chain-drive, conveyors, belts, hydraulics, and pneumatics

- Install, inspect, and repair mechanical and hydraulic components

- In certain components of this role, it is mandatory to wear a respirator which requires an interference free seal

Requirements:

- Registered 3rd or 4th year Industrial Mechanic Apprentice

- Valid driver's license

- Strong interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

- Previous mining experience is an asset

Base earnings reflected in salary range includes the hourly wage plus applicable shift premiums and will differ depending on location. It is calculated using a reasonably expected number of hours worked per year.
