Position Summary:
The Industrial Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that automotive manufacturing equipment and systems are operating at peak performance. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems in a fast-paced automotive parts production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
•Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on production machinery, stamping presses, welding equipment, and assembly lines.
•Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC-based systems to minimize downtime.
•Repair and replace motors, drives, bearings, belts, pumps, gearboxes, and other critical components.
•Perform basic programming and troubleshooting on PLCs and HMIs.
•Follow lockout/tagout procedures and comply with all safety protocols and automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 14001, etc.).
•Record all maintenance activity and report potential issues or improvements.
•Work closely with production and engineering teams to support process improvements and machine upgrades.
•Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
Requirements & Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or Electrical/Mechanical Technology preferred.
•3+ years of maintenance experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment.
•Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
•Experience with robotic systems (e.g., Fanuc, ABB) and PLC troubleshooting.
•Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
•Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
•Must be able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and respond to emergency breakdowns.
Physical Requirements:
•Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand or walk for long periods, and work in confined spaces or at heights.
•Tolerance for noise, heat, grease, and exposure to industrial environments.
