Role: Industrial IoT (IIoT) Solution Architect & Designer
Location: Calgary Salary: $80,000–$110,000 per year

Experience: 5+ Years (Required) Schedule: Monday–FridayWe are seeking a highly motivated and consultative IIoT Solution Architect & Designer to join the industrial energy management team to develop and deploy advanced industrial solutions. This role is the critical link between the client’s physical operations (OT) and our cloud platform. You will be responsible for assessing industrial infrastructure, architecting end-to-end solutions that are cost-effective, easy to deploy, and deliver rapid value, and producing detailed technical design documents for implementation. - Work with the business development team from lead generation to closing developing the key messages, pitch decks, and value proposition analysis
- Conduct consultative OT assessments into client industrial environments (PLCs, SCADA, DCS) to map existing infrastructure, data streams, analytical capabilities, and outputs while considering current IT systems
- Architect end-to-end IIoT solution using LoRaWAN between end devices and an edge gateway for internet connectivity
- Develop comprehensive design document package for the client agreed upon architecture including all new equipment and device specifications, bill of materials, schematic layouts, communication protocols (including connectivity to client OT/IT using fieldbus, ethernet, wireless), and data mapping.
- Prepare device management schema and provision all devices necessary to implement internet connectivity to manage multi-client IIoT
- Prepare installation documentation including drawings and instruction
- Support in-field and remote installation of IIoT solutions
- Lead rapid remote and in-field troubleshooting with the software team as necessary- 5+ years in IIoT solution development, industrial automation and control engineering
- Demonstrated knowledge of communication protocols (MQTT, OPC UA)
- Hands-on experience with LoRaWAN deployments and cloud server configuration
- Proven ability to produce clear, technical design and architectural documentation.
