Signicast is seeking a skilled and motivated Installation Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The list below reflects the general details necessary to describe the principle and essential functions of the position and shall not be construed as the only duties that may be assigned for the position.
•Comply with all safety and health guidelines, quality standard practices/procedures, and housekeeping standards
•Install, align, dismantle, move, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a broad range of mechanical systems and equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, power transmission systems, conveyors, cranes pumps, conveyors, furnaces, and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools
•Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
•Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks, and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up, and repair of machinery
•Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
•Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls
•Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
•Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machinery
•Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
•Must have the ability to read and interpret complex documents such as blueprints, shop orders, work plans, and short correspondence.
•Must be able to write standard reports and documentation.
•Effectively communicate with other employees
•Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
•Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
•Ability to operate various equipment including computers, various precision measuring devices, and lifting devices
Work Environment/Physical Demands
•Frequently required to stand, walk, talk, hear
•Use hands to work tools, controls, etc.
•Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Education and Experience
•High school diploma or HSED/GED Equivalent
•Associate’s degree in Electro-Mechanical Maintenance or two to five years of industrial maintenance and installation experience
