Summary Description:
Industrial Maintenance position providing assistance to production crews in the maintenance of plant machinery, mechanical equipment and building. Improve and refine maintenance and utilize skills and abilities to make repairs in a foundry.
Essential Functions:
•Demonstrated ability to utilize standard hand tools
•Keep tools clean and safe and wear radio at all times
•Ability to follow directions, respond to work orders and management requests in a timely manner
•Demonstrate the ability to identify all major components of all production and facility equipment
•Work overtime as required
•Maintain a good attendance record
•Keep work area clean and perform good housekeeping duties
•Follow all safety regulations and Company policies regarding safety
•Work around a wide variety of equipment, chemicals, machinery, must be aware of safety hazards at all times
•Inspect own work for visual defects
•Record data as required on all internal documents and work activity reports
•Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned Complete all job skills testing as required
Skills or Experience Required:
•Must have 2 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance.
•Preferred to have collegiate courses completed in Maintenance field.
•Best candidate possess a National Certificate from the U.S. Department of Labor or Union Journeyperson's Maintenance card.
•Must have High School diploma or GED.
•Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
•Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
•Must be focused and have strong attention to detail.
•Must have met the minimum requirements of the Work Keys Assessment for the position.
Other Position Demands or Requirements:
Must be able to use the following machines, tools, equipment, and/or work aids:
Forklifts, cranes, hand/power tools, electric/manual conveyors, electrical testing equipment, welding and cutting tools, drill press, grinders and other machining equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $31.30 - $32.10 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
