We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Engineer to join our dynamic manufacturing team specializing in the production of batteries and inverters. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing manufacturing systems, processes, and workflows to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality. This role will play a critical part in scaling production capabilities while maintaining operational excellence and cost-effectiveness.
A successful candidate must be able to:
•Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and quality.
•Design, implement, and monitor workflow improvements in battery and inverter production lines.
•Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings for all products and subassemblies to ensure proper configuration control and production alignment.
•Develop and optimize facility layouts, production schedules, and labor utilization standards.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain to support new product introduction and process scale-up.
•Apply lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies to drive operational excellence.
•Conduct time and motion studies, work sampling, and performance analysis to develop standardized work procedures.
•Evaluate and specify tools, equipment, and technologies to support manufacturing needs.
•Support cost estimation and capital investment analysis for new equipment or process changes.
•Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards within the manufacturing process.
•Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports on production efficiency and improvement initiatives.
•All other duties assigned.
A successful candidate will demonstrate:
•Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
•Experience with lithium-ion battery manufacturing, inverter assembly, or related high-tech manufacturing processes.
•Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and relevant industry-specific standards.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
•3–5 years of industrial engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in energy storage, battery, or power electronics sectors.
•Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement practices.
•Proficient in CAD software, simulation tools, and productivity analysis tools.
•Familiarity with MRP / ERP systems and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
•Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
•Ability to lead projects and work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Physical Requirements:
•This position may require the ability to perform tasks that involve standing, walking, lifting 50+ lbs, bending, stooping, computer work, working with live electricity, and other physical activities.
