Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team at Black Box Manufacturing. Candidates must currently live in British Columbia or in close proximity to our Langley facility. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience working with industrial electrical systems, including logic controllers and low-voltage applications. Experience with fire alarm installations is considered an asset.

Note: Electricians are required to bring their own basic tools for electrical work (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers, strippers, etc.). All specialized or job-specific tools will be provided by Black Box Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

•

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in an industrial setting

•

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with logic controllers and low-voltage systems

•

Interpret blueprints and technical diagrams

•

Use hand tools and power tools effectively for installations and maintenance

•

Upgrade and renovate existing electrical systems to enhance performance and safety

•

Perform regular system inspections to identify potential issues early

•

Collaborate with other trades on renovation or construction projects

•

Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and regulations

Skills & Qualifications:

•

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an industrial electrician role

•

Strong knowledge of low-voltage systems and logic controllers

•

Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints

•

Skilled in using both hand and power tools

•

Effective problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail

•

Strong communication and teamwork skills

•

Experience with fire alarm installations is an asset

•

Must reside in BC or within reasonable commuting distance to Langley

•

Valid driver’s license required

Must have at least two years of experience.

Parking is available, but it is on a first-come, first-served basis. If you arrive early, you will be able to park in the Black Box MFG parking spot.

10-hour shifts, Monday to Thursday; off days Friday to Sunday.
