This position assists the Electrical Team in the day to day maintenance and installation of electrical equipment. This position services all of the ER Jahna Industries locations. This position may be required to read blue prints and assist in routine inspections and electronic tests as well as respond to breakdowns and perform troubleshooting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Actively promote E.R. Jahna’s Core Values of Safety, People, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
•Perform all tasks in a safe and professional manner in compliance with all MSHA Regulations and Company policies and report any violations or concerns to Management in a timely manner.
•Assist in the inspection, repair, replacement, and installation of all electrical equipment, gauges, and instruments.
•Read from blueprints and sketches.
•Respond to emergency call outs on an as needed basis.
•Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, maintain, and assemble all electrical and instrument equipment.
•Locate the source of trouble in any type of electrical equipment or apparatus by tracing and testing circuits, cards, and inspects tools and material requirements.
•Work closely with other members of the maintenance department.
•Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
•Keep work area clean and orderly.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
•Graduation from high school education or GED equivalent
•Trade or Technical schooling a plus
•Two (2) years of experience as an industrial electrician with medium voltage (4160).
•Any equivalent combination of education and experience
•Industrial Electrical Diploma, Journeyman Card or equivalent US military certification
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•Skilled in the operation of hand tools and small power tools.
•Ability to perform manual tasks for extended periods of time; to work safely; to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, contractors and managers; and to understand and carry out written and oral instruction.
•Basic record keeping skills.
•Computer skills, enter data and interpret data, read and respond to emails.
•Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
•Ability to detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and respond accordingly.
•Basic mechanical knowledge to detect potential breakdown of equipment.
•High level of attentiveness and physical coordination to operate heavy mobile equipment safely and productively in heavy traffic areas.

The employee most likely be required at times to work long extended hours, shift work (days, afternoons, or nights), and weekend shifts.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works outside and inside the control room and quality control lab, but most of the time works outside in adverse weather conditions. The employee frequently works near loud moving mechanical parts, frequently exposed to wet, hot and/or humid conditions, and exposed to vibration. The employee continually works around water.
