We are a family oriented company that is looking to expand our Maintenance Department! We are looking for a Controls/PLC Technician for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical control systems in a manufacturing environment.

· Install, calibrate, and maintain PLCs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), sensors, and other instrumentation and control devices.
· Troubleshoot and repair electrical and automation-related issues in a timely and safe manner to minimize production downtime.
. Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, P&ID drawings, and technical documentation.
. Modify and program PLCs and HMIs to improve process control and automation performance.
. Support equipment upgrades, retrofits, and new installations in coordination with engineering and production teams.
. Perform preventive maintenance on control systems to ensure long-term reliability .
· Document all changes to control systems and ensure backups of all critical programming.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical theory and principles, statutory codes, properties of materials, and principles of operation of electrical equipment.
· Advises and cautions operators and mechanics about potential electrical problems and inherent dangers involved.
· Communicates both personally and impersonally, through oral or written directives with all involved parties.
· Attends and participates in all scheduled meetings, deemed relevant and pertinent.
· Works with production operators, supervisors and mechanics to perform emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance.
