Step into a role where your expertise shapes decisions in real time. As an In-House Geosteering & Operations Geologist with Impac Exploration Services, Inc., you’ll be embedded within the operations geology group of a major energy operator at their state-of-the-art corporate campus in Spring, TX.
You won’t just monitor wells from a distance — you’ll sit at the center of the action, collaborating with drilling engineers, directional drillers, and geology peers in a Pod environment designed for fast, precise decision-making.

- Uphold rigorous QA/QC standards for all geosteering and geological analyses.
- Use cross sections to anticipate casing points, coring intervals, and landing point changes.
- Stay agile in responding to shifting priorities and operational demands.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, or related field.
- Prior experience in geosteering or operations geology preferred.
- Strong grasp of drilling operations and the integration of geological interpretations with drilling dynamics.
- Experience in collaborative, high-performance team settings.
- Proficiency with geosteering software and geological databases; quick learner with new tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to relocate or commute to Spring, TX.
- On-site at a major operator’s corporate campus in Spring, TX.
- Rotational schedule: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, alternating between day and night shifts.
Reports to the In-House Geosteering Supervisor, contributing to a fully integrated team focused on drilling excellence and operational performance.
