IMMEDIATE OPENING STAFFED MANUFACTURING CAD TECHNICIAN

Overview

SECG, LLC currently has available a staffed manufacturing CAD technician position proficient in Autodesk Inventor. The CAD Technician assists with fixture design and general manufacturing design support for the production line and work cells.

Position is located in west Oklahoma City, OK. Seeking candidates who live within 50 miles of Oklahoma City, OK. No relocation available.

Work schedule: 30 - 40 hours per week, onsite, no remote work.

Interview is in-person interview with an administered skills test for Autodesk Inventor.

No interview travel compensation.

Job Responsibilities

- Creation of 3D CAD models, assemblies, and drawings in Inventor.

- Provide drafting and general design support.

- Prepare and revise technical drawings from rough sketches or models.

- Understand and follow company established CAD standard procedures.

- May be assigned specific responsibilities within the office, as needed.

Qualifications

- A 2 year degree in drafting technology, or 4 year technical/engineering degree, or equivalent experience in manufacturing, industrial products/machines, oil and gas equipment.

- Proficient with Autodesk Inventor. Target release 2025.

- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

- Strong computer skids with drafting emphasis, detail-oriented, self-starter, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.

- Work extended hours as necessary to meet critical deadlines.

- Must be an effective communicator.

- Experience reading and interpreting engineering and/or technical drawings.

Expectations

- Read and interpret documents and interact with co-workers. Must have good communication skills.

- The individual must interact with others within manufacturing and engineering department. The individual will also be required to interact with production floor personnel regarding designs.

- Continuously increase knowledge and exhibit ability to learn and apply new skills. Meet established goals while demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness to ensure quality of work.

- Apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

- Communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in written correspondence.

- Must project a professional, positive attitude.

- Work effectively both independently and as team member.

Physical Requirements

- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects; and reach with hands and arms.

- Will be required to assist with general engineering support during, which may require lifting and handling components that range from 5 lbs to 50 lbs.
