I&E Technician
Overview
This position is responsible for installation, maintenance, inspection, repair on all oil field and natural gas plant instrumentation, control systems, analyzers and electrical and other equipment. Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot I&E issues, and install new equipment.
Responsibilities
•Install, maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance on all field instrumentation, control systems, analyzers and electrical equipment.
•Responsible for prompt and accurate diagnosis of minor or more complex issues and the implementation of corrective action. Consult directly with equipment vendors or manufacturers as necessary.
•Coordinate and conduct maintenance activities on end devices to include programming of transmitters with a hart communicator and ensure data accuracy of all fluid and gas measurement.
•Conduct in depth failure analysis on repeat equipment failures.
•Respond and provide automation support during all outages.
•Able to perform general PM work: testing end devices, temperature shutdowns, pressure switches, level shutdowns.
•Evaluate condition of valves, motors, instruments, etc.
•Understanding of digital and analog I/O, programming, and troubleshooting.
•Must be proficient in troubleshooting using loop drawing, schematics, ladder logic, electrical one-line, and P&ID’s
•Proficient in maintaining process control loops, electronic controls, valves, and transmitters.
•Design and Supervision of electrical wiring and conduit installation on skidded and free-standing equipment
Additional Responsibilities
· Utilize deductive troubleshooting skills to diagnose natural gas and oil field equipment failures which might include rotating equipment i.e.. pumps, motors, compressors or other mechanical machinery.
· Use cellular phones, ipads, and computers proficiently.
· Communicate ideas, issues, and solutions to customers, vendors, and other employees in a professional and courteous manner.

•Transmitters (1-5v, 4-20mA, Rosemount)
•Emerson Products, ROC, TotalFlow or similar preferred
