Stella Maris, LLC is seeking a full time I & E Technician. The desired candidate shall have a minimum of 4 years industry trade experience. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills, must be able to coordinate active jobs and have strong troubleshooting knowledge. The responsibilities and duties of the desired candidate include, but are not limited to:
o Coordinate daily with Production Coordinator and Shop Foreman to develop electrical production plan for active projects in manufacturing.
o Instruct team of electrical technicians on daily duties and assignments, monitor progress, and ensure daily targets are achieved.
o Provide leadership by monitoring and assist electrical technicians with proper maintenance and installation.
o Ability to locate and interpret project drawings, company Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) or equipment manuals and certifications for proper installation of electrical equipment.
o Perform quality assessments of electrical technician’s completed work for faults (loose connections, broken insulation, etc.) and/or noncompliance to the project drawings and applicable electrical codes and standards, including installations suitable for hazardous areas.
o Installation and troubleshooting of control system’s VDC and VAC (1PH and 3PH) electrical circuits and equipment which include, but is not limited to PLC controllers, transmitters, flow meters, switches, motor starters (DOL, VFD, Soft starter), digital displays, etc.
o Assemble enclosure assemblies per engineering supplied drawings and BOMs.
o Preplan routing and install cabling with use of cable glands on skid-mounted equipment/panels
o Understand and work in accordance with the company’s quality and safety requirements.
o Must possess a strong work ethic, have a high standard of integrity and professionalism.
o Must be a self-starter, must have excellent oral and written communication skills and have the ability to work without supervision.
o Must possess strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
o Must possess basic knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
o Must possess experience in working with and troubleshooting PLC systems
o Must possess experience in working on hazardous area installations and equipment
o Must possess previous working history of leading and developing a team of electricians.
o Working knowledge of job site safety, as well as the ability to complete a company specific safety orientation.
o Ability to establish, manage, plan and think strategically.
o Must be drug free at all times.
o Must be willing and available to travel offshore/international when needed.
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
