Duties:

•

Learn skilled installation techniques for a variety of HVAC systems including oil/gas furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, geothermal systems, air conditioners, air handling units, and water heaters.

•

Gain proficiency in safely handling refrigerants, fuel oils, natural gas, and propane.

•

Acquire expertise in working with different voltage systems, up to 480 volts, 3-phase.

•

Develop skills and knowledge in safely brazing with high-temperature torches using propane, acetylene, and oxygen.

•

Understand the safe handling of high-pressure nitrogen and refrigerants.

•

Get trained on installing ductless mini splits, and working with a variety of humidifiers, including powered, bypass, and steam models.

Physical readiness to work in various environments, including confined spaces and elevated heights.

Physical Requirements:

•

Safely work in confined spaces such as attics, basements, crawl spaces, and closets.

•

Comfortable working at heights on rooftops, ladders, and ceilings.

•

Perform physical tasks, including bending, crawling, stretching, and reaching.

•

Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and work comfortably in extreme weather conditions.
