Position Summary

As a Human Resource (HR) Representative at Oncor, you’ll provide counsel and guidance to various levels of line management to help ensure the Company’s programs are consistent with applicable Federal and State statutes and regulations. This role provides management with support and guidance related to employee and labor relations, leave administration, recruiting, and organizational design and development.

Key Responsibilities

- Establish and maintain effective partnerships with business management and gain an understanding of business objectives, operations, and financial drivers and how they support Oncor’s overall strategy.

- Works with Business management to execute short, medium and long-range tactical HR plans.

- Consult with business management to help ensure consistent application of HR policies across the Company.

- In concert with other HR professionals, provide support to management for addressing employee performance issues, conduct investigations into allegations of employee misconduct, and partner with business management and Legal to determine and implement appropriate corrective actions.

- Support line management in the tactical execution of the Company’s Labor Relations Strategy and assist in the administration of the current Labor Agreement.

- Assist Legal in the preparation of the Company’s cases in employment-related litigation such as Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Worker’s Compensation, and Federal and State courts.

- Expand personal knowledge and expertise in Organizational Design, Leave Administration such as Workers Comp, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Salary Continuation, and Long-Term Disability (LTD) programs, Staffing & Recruiting, Employee Relations and Labor Relations.

- Conduct all HR activities in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local regulations and ordinances.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Frequent travel between Company facilities and works with moderate guidance.


Skills

- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex scenarios and reach conclusions.

- Knowledge across a broad range of HR disciplines.

- Knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local employment regulations.

- Demonstrated success in project management.

- Knowledge of research methods and tools.

- Proficiency in business communications both written and oral.


Education & Experience

- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent and 1+ years of related experience with stakeholder management supporting HR initiatives required.

- Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, or Business or equivalent relevant experience; advanced degree are encouraged to apply.

- Applicants with Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation and/or Professional in Human Resource (PHR) certification are encouraged to apply.

- Applicants with Labor Relations experience are encouraged to apply.
