Set up and operate hot form presses, heat treat ovens and other machines required to produce and inspect aerospace components.
- Assist in the set-up of, operation of and maintenance of hot form tools, machines, and preparatory operations safely.
- Perform pilot runs to prove out new processes.
- Assist with maintaining records for traceability of Hot forming as required by Quality Assurance.
- Read and understand operation process sheets, tooling instructions, blueprint features and basic manufacturing principles.
- Follow all processes provided for production, work with the supervisor, team lead, and engineering for improvements and modifications.
- Read and understand all measuring and testing equipment required for the job, including but not limited to: pin mics, pie tapes, calipers, feeler gauges, stylist, templates, and fixtures.
- Responsible for work performed and the inspection of such work.
- Maintain all applicable Jedco and customer certifications, where required.
- Ensure parts received are not damaged and check for completeness of paperwork. Also ensures that parts and paperwork leaving have been completed.
- Participate and maintain cleanliness of the department while utilizing 6-S techniques.
- Understand and follow Jedco Standard manufacturing guidelines.
- Understands pin mics, pie tapes, calipers, feeler gauges, stylist, templates, and fixtures
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures and training
