The Market Manager is responsible for hiring and retaining the best, facilitating positive employee experiences and exceptional customer experiences while leading the productivity of a residential sales team. A positive employee experience includes coaching, training and developing talent as well as creating an experience aligned with IGS’ entrepreneurial, values-driven culture. The Market Manager is also expected to meet company sales goals and control expenses.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Recruit, hire and train and develop talent to sell home warranty products, as well as natural gas and electricity where applicable to residential consumers.
- Lead an orientation program for new hires and a performance plan for all sales representatives to ensure employees are motivated, learning and consistently reaching their sales targets.
- Work with employees in the field regularly to ensure their success by continually evaluating performance and providing both positive and constructive feedback.
- Provide strong leadership skills to develop employees and educate them on various products and selling techniques.
- Provide regular updates to management regarding progress, and recommend changes that would improve the effectiveness of achieving the objectives in the market.
- Develop sales plan for the office. Ensure achievement of sales goals and control expenses.
- Determines work procedures, prepares work schedule, and tracks hourly, daily, weekly sales efficiencies of each sales person.
- Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams and develop talent
- Results orientation/sense of urgency
- Adaptable with the ability to lead change effectively
- Problem solving and decision making.
- Ability to calculate figures for discounts, commission volume, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Five years of experience in a General Manager type capacity leading teams, operations and/or sales.
- Travel required; later hours.
- Valid Driver’s license with a good driving record, a reliable form of personal transportation, auto insurance coverage that satisfies the minimum requirement for the state.
This position offers the manager a salary in addition to commission. Health insurance is available for this position. In addition all sales representatives will be offered a base and commission.

Salary Range:
$75,000.00 - $90,000.00
- This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included. This role is also eligible for a monthly bonus, based on team performance.
