Heavy Equipment Welder

RES Coal LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced heavy equipment welder to join our team. This role will be responsible for repairing and maintaining our fleet of mining equipment, heavy duty trucks, and related machinery. The Ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding, cutting, heavy equipment repair, or heavy fabrication, and must be comfortable working in an outdoor field environment.

Responsibilities:

· Rebuilding loader buckets, dozer blades, haul truck beds, and other ground engaging equipment

· Repairing/rebuilding aluminum dump beds on our fleet of OTR trucks

· Replacing bucket teeth adapters

· Replacing loader bucket cutting edges

· Repairing/rebuilding dozer track frames

· Ensure all repairs/rebuilds are done correctly to minimize re-work

Qualifications:

· Valid drivers license; CDL B or willingness to obtain

· Understanding of surface mining operations and equipment

· Welding experience – Stick, MIG, and Flux-core

· Oxy/Fuel cutting – up to 4” plate

· Ability to lift heavy parts and work in physically demanding conditions.

· Valid driver’s license; CDL B or willingness to attain

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Work is performed in a shop, mine, or plant setting, which may involve exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, moving mechanical parts, electrical hazards, toxic chemicals, fumes, and airborne particles.

- The role requires standing, sitting, manual dexterity, climbing stairs and ladders, and working on elevated platforms.

- Must be able to work in a potentially high-pressure environment.

- May require extended shifts, overtime, or weekend work as needed.

- Personal protective equipment (PPE) provided and required, including a hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and additional protective gear as necessary.

- Compliance with RES Coal LLC’s drug- and alcohol-free workplace policy, including mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing as per applicable state laws.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
