Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator with expertise in civil excavation to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating various types of heavy equipment and working on site preparation, trenching, grading, and utility installation for civil construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Operate heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, skid steers, and compactors for civil excavation work.

•

Perform trenching, grading, backfilling, and sloping in accordance with engineered plans and site specifications.

•

Load and transport materials safely and efficiently around job sites.

•

Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and grade stakes with a strong understanding of elevations and slopes.

•

Collaborate with foremen, pipe layers, laborers, and other team members to ensure timely and accurate project completion.

•

Conduct daily pre-operation inspections and basic maintenance of equipment.

•

Follow all safety regulations, protocols, and OSHA standards at all times.

Requirements:

•

Minimum 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment in civil excavation or site development.

•

Proficient with GPS and/or laser grading systems is a plus.

•

Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).

•

Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and in varying weather conditions.

•

Strong understanding of jobsite safety and best practices.

•

Team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
