Summary: We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in building Athletic Fields and Running Tracks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of operating heavy machinery, including but not limited to Skid Steer: moving piles of dirt, crusher fines, and rough grade. Motor Grader: rough grading blue topping. Backhoe: grading and trenching. Loading of Materials: dirt, sand, gravel, and concrete debris. Haul off debris. Scraper: pick up wind rolls, cut, and fill, close to grade. Other items: roller, gooseneck trailers, enclosed equipment trailer & water wagons. Bulldozers, mini excavators, and loaders. The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for safe and efficient operating equipment to assist with various construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
•Operate heavy equipment for construction projects, including digging, loading, and leveling materials.
•Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
•Follow all safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.
•Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and maintain workflow.
•Keep track of equipment usage and report any issues or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
•Adhere to project timelines and deadlines to complete tasks promptly.
•Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Proven experience operating heavy equipment in a construction environment.
•Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to heavy equipment operation.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Strong communication skills.
•Physical strength and stamina to operate heavy equipment for long periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Certification in heavy equipment operation
•Experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment.
Willing to Travel out of Town at least Four Days a Week. Monday-Thursday. Unless more days are needed to complete the Construction schedule.
Office located in Bosque Farms.
Base Rate DOE. New Mexico Wage Rate Projects.
