Responsibilities
•Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty mobile and stationary equipment, specifically, but not limited to, power generators
•Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment
•Diagnose faults or malfunctions of heavy-duty equipment and generators
•Repair, troubleshoot, adjust, overhaul and maintain heavy-duty equipment and generators
•Order parts and perform equipment repairs and replacement of defective parts as needed
•Maintain a clean work area and assist with general cleaning duties in the shop
•Maintain daily record of work tasks performed and maintain workshop inventory
•Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes
Requirements
•Experience working on Caterpillar, Deutz, and Waukesha heavy equipment
•Experience diagnosing and repairing equipment, specifically generators
•Experience ordering necessary parts to repair and maintain machines and generators
•A valid Class 5 driver’s license
•Experienced and skills in the maintenance and operation of a variety of tools and equipment used in the repair of generators and other equipment
•Organized and detailed in record keeping and report writing
•Self-motivated, and able to work independently
•Analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills with a strong attention to detail
•Able to work within a team environment
•Professional when working with clients
•Working out of town on remote sites in and around Alberta and working weekends may be required
