Job Overview:

GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our Valued Client’s team in Hinton, AB. This is a full-time position, ideally suited to an individual committed to excellence and safety.

Responsibilities:

- Diagnose internal combustion engines, DC electrical systems, propane systems, hydraulics, and fuel systems.

- Perform major repairs to maintain fleet equipment using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments.

- Conduct oil changes, lubrication, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements, and general servicing.

- Assist shop lead with customer damage assessments and repairs.

- Enter and review work orders and manage part ordering via the fleet management system.

- Recondition and replace various heavy equipment components.

- Diagnose equipment for wear and tear or potential failures.

- Manage service calls in the absence of shop lead and dispatch field mechanics as needed.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

- Produce timely and detailed service reports and repair logs.

- Support the training of “C” and “B” Mechanics under the direction of the shop lead.

- Follow all company field procedures and protocols.

- Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Journeyman Off-Road Ticket or Red Seal Certification in Heavy Equipment Technician (HET).

- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with aerial equipment.

- Valid driver’s license.

- Able to provide a recent driver’s abstract.

- Shop-based role with occasional field dispatch responsibilities.

- Use of diagnostic and repair tools, PPE, and heavy machinery.

- Exposure to typical mechanical shop conditions, with physical demands including lifting, crouching, and standing for extended periods.
