About This Job

Overview

We are seeking a skilled "Bags On" Heavy Commercial Foreman to join our team, specializing in commercial construction settings. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail and be able to work with both GCs/Superintendents as well as hourly and subcontractor crews to complete large-scale work.

Responsibilities

•

Direct field personnel - Line out work crews daily, resolve conflicts to keep work moving, elevate issues that require Supervisor involvement, document work performed, oversee job cleanliness, assist in management responsibilities as required by our contract with the customer, etc.

•

Be a self-initiator - be motivated and capable to finding and executing tasks without Supervisor assigning step-by-step direction.

•

Carpentry work according to drawings and scope in a "bags-on" production and supervisory role.

•

Perform quality control checks on all aspects of layout and finishing.

•

Communicate and Interface with the Client's supervisor - attend weekly meetings, assist in resolving design conflicts, trade coordination issues, or onsite constraints.

•

Material Management - receive orders, maintain inventory counts and work with procurement personnel to place new orders to stay ahead of work required schedule

•

Equipment/Tools Management - inventory, check in/out, receive, maintain, fuel, and call off job equipment as appropriate

•

Document Key Information - change order/ticket work, daily logs, etc

•

Communicate regularly with Company Supervisors

•

Job Site Safety - Hold weekly safety meetings/toolbox talks with team on site and document mee3tings as required by contract. Report incidents to appropriate persons.

Requirements

•

Commercial carpentry

•

Drywall Hang/Finish knowledge

•

Blueprint reading

•

Travel - throughout Indiana - currently the Indianapolis area to north of Fort Wayne and in the direction of West Lafayette

•

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment

•

Lift experience - Boom, Scissor - and knowledge of safety practices for elevated work

•

Use and wear appropriate PPE

Preferred

•

Bilingual - English and Spanish

•

OSHA 10/30 training
