We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Working Jobsite Foreman to oversee construction, carpentry, masonry and/or concrete projects and ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As a Working Jobsite Forman, you will be responsible for supervising a crew while assisting with various physical construction tasks in a fast paced environment, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to high standards while maintaining cleanliness on the jobsites. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic with a background in construction, or related field, management and possess the ability to lead a team effectively. This role involves direct supervision of workers, coordination of project activities, and maintaining communication with project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
•Supervise and run projects as a working lead of daily operations on the jobsite.
•Coordinate and direct crew to maximize productivity.
•Supervise and perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to construction, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry and/or concrete.
•Perform and assist in physical, strenuous labor on construction sites such as digging, lifting, carrying, loading and unloading materials etc.
•Ensuring work is completed to code and according to plan and in compliance with safety regulations.
•Anticipate problems and offer solutions based on experience.
•Possess technical and working knowledge of building methods and construction practices.
•Read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints and schematics to guide construction activities accurately.
•Conduct quality control inspections to maintain high standards of workmanship throughout the project lifecycle.
•Maintain effective, respectful communication at all times with business owner, field crew, clients and team.
•Minimize material use to prevent waste and unnecessary cost
•Manage material deliveries, handling, storage and placement.
•Be a positive advocate for safety in action and attitude; reinforce awareness to reduce the risk of injury or citation and know OSHA requirement for your location and site.
•Maintain job site security(ie. ensure safety of all people, tools and materials.)
•Maintain accurate documentation in the daily job log.
•Plan and communicate site production expectations with crew daily; participate in quality control.
•Be the company representative when the business owner in not on site.
•Discuss work with clients, architects, inspectors and business owner with integrity, clarity and patience.
•Train and mentor team members in best practices for construction techniques and safety protocols.
•Operate and coach others on proper hand and power tool use
•Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
•Address any issues that arise on-site promptly to minimize delays in project timelines.
•Ability and confidence to work solo, as well as with team members as you are supervising.
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:
•Experience working in construction, carpentry or similar field
•3+ years of running a construction crew
•Reliability to arrive on time and have own transportation to the jobsite(s).
•Excellent skills in architectural drawing/blueprint reading and interpreting schematics.
•Proven ability to supervise teams effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
•Knowledge of quality control processes specific to the construction industry.
•Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
•Effective communication skills for liaising with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
•Ability to follow instructions, take notes and perform work as designated
•Ability to be an active listener, ask for help and suggest solutions
•Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
•Demonstrate discretion and treat all proprietary company information as strictly confidential outside, and in some cases within, the company.
•Be a team player and foster a positive and constructive attitude environment onsite

•Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide variety of people
•Working knowledge of layout and install of wall framing, floors and roof systems, stairs, windows and doors.
•Familiar with accurate layout and setting of concrete forms, familiar with how to place re-rod for footings and foundations a plus.
•Working knowledge of local building codes and required inspections.

•Willingness to travel when needed.
•Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
•Having your own basic handtools is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
